Rockin 'R' River Rides, Texas' largest and most trusted river outfitter, is pleased to welcome you to its home page! We offer raftin', toobin', canoein', caterin' and campin' at five locations. We're the only river outfitter in New Braunfels with locations on both the Guadalupe and Comal rivers. We can be reached at 1-800-55FLOAT.

Rockin 'R' provides the ultimate experience for the first-time "toober" or seasoned rafter. Our facilities include three campgrounds on the banks of the Guadalupe River, four "toob" and raft rental locations, four retail stores for souvenirs, camping and boating supplies, an on-site riverfront grill, group packages, team building river ropes courses, plus water level information & advice on which trip will best suit your group on any given day.

We pride ourselves in being available and accommodating on a year-round basis. With a reservation and weather permitting you can rent equipment any day of the year except the big three - Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's! (I mean, come on, we have to have SOME holidays off!)

Make sure to check out our "What to Expect" link on the right. And, here are a few more tidbits of information that will help you with your plans:

  • Call for reservations and the latest updates on water levels and weather reports.
  • Our summer hours are 8am until it gets too dark to see! No really, the best thing to do is call to see how late we'll put you on a trip. The trip lengths vary depending on what the water flow is and where we put you on the river.
  • The Guadalupe River is a "refreshing" 65 degrees and the Comal is more like 70 degrees. If it's early Spring-time, you probably want to consider rafting as the air temperature might be a bit chilly for a toob.
  • The banks of both rivers are privately owned property. Please respect the owners and stay in your toob or raft!
  • We have various trips for ages 3 and up so make sure to tell us your age group when you call.
  • Our prices vary depending on which river you float, the day of the week, your ages and the time of year so again . . . . call us!
  • Toobs with bottoms save your bottom but some folks just have to float in a bottomless toob. Don't say we didn't warn ya!
  • Toobs = one person per toob.
  • Rafts = 3-6 people
  • 1-man inflatable raft or Sit-on-tops = 1 person
  • 2-man inflatable canoes = 2 people
  • DO NOT TIE TOOBS AND/OR COOLER TOOBS TOGETHER! This is just a really bad idea. Say, for instance, that you tied your cooler toob to your toob and it gets stuck. Guess what? You're stuck too! Better to hold onto the rope tied to your cooler toob or your friends toob so you can let go if need be.
  • And last but certainly not least . . . . for the love of beer and river cleanliness . . . MAKE SURE YOUR ICECHEST LID IS SECURELY FASTENED OR TIED DOWN!!
